MAHLE welcomes customers to Austria factory
MAHLE arranged a three-day trip for customers to Austria in July, where GROUPAUTO affiliates and managing director Bob Ackroyd were invited to gain invaluable insight into the aftermarket specialist’s latest filtration technology developments at its factory site in St. Michael.
Guests were welcomed at Klagenfurt airport, before enjoying a tour of the local shops and PFAU brandy distillery. The trip culminated in a visit to MAHLE’s facilities, where attendees sat in on MAHLE’s Filtration Technical Training, covering a wide array of topics including causes of engine wear, filter production and functionality, as well as Air Filter Element Development. This was followed by a tour of the factory, where Mr. Diaz from the technical department showed guests the rigorous production processes involved in MAHLE’s filtration offering, from manufacturing and testing to packaging.
Following lunch onsite, delegates were treated to a boat trip on Lake Woerthersee, one of Austria’s main tourist destinations in summer and Carinthia’s largest lake, spanning more than 10 miles in length. The day was wrapped up with dinner at a local restaurant, before guests returned home.
